This guidance also applies when a number of smaller items need to be transported for change out at the same time, or where the route to and from the point of origin and the worksite is complex or is known to pose specific hazards.

Purpose

The purpose of this guidance is to provide a consistency of approach and advise of issues that may require consideration when planning for the like for like replacement of large, heavy or unwieldy signals assets, either for pre-planned activities or emergency change-out.
