pending, Most Current
Organization: DS
Status: pending
Page Count: 20
ICS Code (Ambient atmospheres): 13.040.20
scope:

This document specifies a general laboratory test method for measuring perceived air quality that is applied for assessing the performance of air cleaners for gas-phase pollutants. Perceived air quality is evaluated by human subjects (panels). This method applies to gas phase air cleaners, and can be performed in laboratories. Only gas-phase pollutants that can be sensed by human subjects are considered. This document is based on sensory test specified in ISO 16000-28 and ISO 16000-30. NOTE 1 - This document is harmonized with the standard for testing gas phase air cleaners that will be standardized by ISO/TC 142. NOTE 2 - A risk assessment is intended to be carried out to clarify that no harmful compounds are emitted from odour emission sources. In some countries, an ethics committee can require this.
