scope:
Purpose.
This standard defines the testing methodology and requirements for validating front windshield wiper systems to GM requirements. Front wiper system components include wiper motor/transmission, wiper arm, wiper blade, wiper arm beauty cap/covers; any attaching hardware.
Exception.
This standard does not cover windshield washing systems unless the washer nozzle/hoses are attached to one of the wiping system components.
