pending, Most Current
Organization: ISO
Publication Date: 4 May 2022
Status: pending
Page Count: 30
ICS Code (Electric road vehicles): 43.120
scope:

This document specifies specific requirements for conductive power transfer using AC between electrically propelled road vehicles and external electric circuits. The requirements of this document apply in addition to Part 1.

External electric circuits include external electric power supplies and external electric loads. This document provides requirements for charging modes 2, 3, as defined in IEC 61851-1, and reverse power transfer.

Requirement for reverse power transfer to supply voltage to sockets located into the car are under consideration.

For reverse power transfer, this document provides requirements for reverse power transfer through a plug or vehicle inlet according to IEC 62196-1 or IEC 62196-2.

For AC conductive power transfer using an ACD or ACD counterpart, see ISO 5474-5.

For automatic connection systems refer to ISO 5474-5.

This document applies to the on-board sections of vehicle power supply circuits. It applies also to dedicated power supply control functions used for the connection of the vehicle to an external electric circuit.

It does not provide comprehensive safety information for manufacturing, maintenance and repair personnel.
