This procedure applies to all the MMTs owned and operated by Network Rail Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) and all Network Rail staff. The procedure works in collaboration with applicable standards of any Railway Undertaking (RU) contracted to operate the MMT.

This module covers the MMT working in or partially in anything that is defined as a structure.

Concurrent structure separated by a railway cutting or other area with limited or no position of safety shall be considered as a continuous structure for the purposes of this module.

This includes a structure that abuts either a viaduct or bridge where there is no position of safety. 

Purpose 

This module controls the risk that working in a structure imposes on the Mobile Maintenance Train (MMT).
