This standard applies to LU and Suppliers and details the performance and constructional requirements for the installation of acoustic screens to limit the transmission of transformer noise.

Purpose

This standard states the technical requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of acoustic screening for transformers for use on the London Underground (LU) Power Network.

Note: Power transformers are specified in LU standard S1943, Auxiliary Transformers are specified in LU standard S1942 and Earthing Auxiliary Transformers are specified in LU standard S1944.
