This specification covers surface appearance and dry film properties of in-mold coating (IMC), inspection, quality control and source approval for coated SMC parts prior to shipment to NAVISTAR. It also includes repair of IMC surfaces and handling of IMC parts.

All product supplied to the requirements of this specification must comply with the requirements of the MPAPS B-50 specification.
APPLICATION
This specification covers the in-mold coating (IMC) process and requirements for compression molded SMC parts that subsequently require finish paint to NAVISTAR specifications. Typical parts include hood and fender assemblies and similar exterior applications.
