APPLICATION
This specification applies to gear lubricants suitable for use both as a factory fill and in-service applications. Gear lubricants are used to reduce friction and noise in gear boxes and joints. It is important that a minimum hydrodynamic layer of lubricant be maintained throughout the gear mesh.
