ABSTRACT HEADING

Combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) systems have been investigated extensively at commercial scale. However, a CCHP system utilizing flame assisted fuel cells (FFC) could be applied at a residential scale and is investigated in this work. A thermodynamic model of a gas hot water heater, FFCs, and residential absorption chiller system is created and investigated. The combined system efficiency is found to be up to 83.5% efficient. A cost savings analysis was performed and reported.
