1.1 These requirements cover the construction and performance of turbine type water flowmeters for fire protection service of Type I, Type II or Type III construction.

1.2 The following items are outside the scope of these requirements:

a)    Materials and construction of the register;

b)    Evaluation of the by-pass components, including the by-pass meter if provided, except for body leakage and strength of body;

c)    Potability and;

d)    Stationary static gaskets, such as cover gaskets and ring gaskets used between flanges.
