This Code of Practice applies to all cases where the existing design specifies an obsolete cable size/type for which there is an equivalent in the current RT/E/PS/00005 range.

PURPOSE

This Code of Practice authorises the use of cables to RT/E/PS/00005 or GS/ES0872 as alternatives to BR 872 and older imperial sized cables which are shown on the design record. This is in order to eliminate the need to specially order obsolete types of cable where there is an equivalent in the current RT/E/PS/00005 range.
