Serves as a guide for installing trailer retro-reflective sheeting and/or reflectors in accordance with current conspicuity system regulations of 49 CFR 571.108 (FMVSS 108). This R.P. does not apply to pole trailers and converter dollies, trailers with a GVWR 10,000 pounds or less, trailers with a width of less than 80 inches and trailers manufactured exclusively for use as offices or dwellings.
