This specification applies to the design of all types of man-machine interface equipment forming part of a SCADA system.

The specification does not include requirements for site installation or commissioning works.

The document is to be read in conjunction with Railtrack Line Specifications RT/E/S/21000, "Operational, Environmental and General Requirements for Remote Control Equipment for Electrical Distribution Systems" and RT/E/S/21008, "Overall Operation, Integration and Performance of Remote Control for Electrical Distribution Systems", and the relevant procurement specification.

Purpose

This specification states the requirements for man-machine interfaces at electrical control rooms (ECRs) or control centres forming part of a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, associated with an a.c. or d.c. traction network.
