This code of practice applies to aluminium/stainless steel composite conductor rail and associated electric track equipment on D.C. Electrified Lines designated 'standard current', including the requirements for new installations and alterations to existing equipment.

Purpose

This code of practice states the best practice for the design, manufacture, installation and testing of aluminium/stainless steel composite conductor rail and associated equipment on Railtrack D.C. Electrified Lines.

This document is to be read in conjunction with the Electric Track Equipment drawings and RT/E/S/21104 'Design and Installation of Electric Track Equipment for D.C. Electrified Lines'.
