This document aims to provide guidance for establishing an awareness level and competence foundation for key technical personnel, such as chief engineers, engine room watch keepers, electro technical staff, relevant shore-based staff or anyone assigned maintenance/repair work on systems that may affect DP integrity of a vessel.

The identified set of DP-related competencies shall be supplemented by e.g. operational/supplier manuals and system-specific details.

Operational scope and detailed knowledge, understanding and performance expectations are defined in Sec.3.
