This document contains guidelines and principles for allowable thickness diminution related to corrosion for structural elements of DNV classed floating offshore units of conventional design in operation. Different types of corrosion and procedures for reassessment calculations are described. Guidance related to conversions and renewal work is also included.
Non-conventional unit designs are not covered, and allowable thickness diminution criteria for these units shall be done on a case by case basis.
