This document provides requirements on management of waste generated during the operation of inland navigation vessels, including handling, collection, separation, marking, treatment, and storage. It also describes the ship-to-shore interface and the delivery of waste from the vessel to the reception station.
Small crafts or vessels may be exempted from several regulations but can make use of this document for good waste management.
This document also provides guidance for segregating and managing waste that any reception station worldwide may expect from inland navigation vessels.
