scope:

The requirements laid down in this standard are the minimum that must be applied in undertaking investigations on Railtrack Control & Communications systems. The requirements apply to Railtrack operational control and communications equipment either in service or installed on Railtrack property pending commissioning.

Purpose

This standard defines the requirements for authorising the technical investigation of signalling equipment and associated trainborne equipment on Railtrack Infrastructure or property, undertaking the investigation and distributing Investigation Reports.

The standard defines the process by which equipment or components is returned to an approved Technical Investigation Centre.
