The contents of this code of practice apply to all rail clamp point locks emanating from the former BR design.

Definitions of general signalling terms can be found in GK/RT0002 and technical terms in RT/E/G/11720.

PURPOSE

This code of practice gives details of best practice in respect of rail clamp point locks, so as to satisfy the mandatory requirements of Railway Group Standard GI/RT7004, Requirements for the Design, Operation and Maintenance of Points.
