This document specifies the requirements for optical trunk cables containing stepindex singlemode optical fibres in accordance with ITU-T Recommendation G.652.
Armoured, single-sheathed duct and ZHLS versions are specified. The type of cable and the number of fibres will be specified in the contract.
Purpose
This document is for use in procurement contracts for polyethylene sheathed and zero-halogen low-smoke (ZHLS) sheathed optical fibre trunk telecommunications cables.
