This specification shall be used for the design and installation of new CCTV systems for Driver Only Operation (Passenger). It shall also be used to assess the adequacy of existing systems.

PURPOSE

This specification sets out requirements for the size of picture(s) presented on platform mounted CCTV monitor(s), and other factors which affect a driver's ability to identify a potentially hazardous situation. As such it substitutes for the specification GT/ES3135 which is referred to in Railway Group Standard GT/EH H804, "Closed Circuit Television for Driver Only Operation (Passenger)". This specification shall be read in conjunction with GT/EH H804.
