This specification covers torque requirements necessary to achieve corresponding clamp loads or durability requirements for a variety of standard threaded fastener joints and other well-defined joint designs where extensive testing has determined torque ranges that result in the joint meeting its durability requirements. For joint designs where joint strength is the limiting factor, or when special fastener designs, finishes or materials are used, or if predetermining torque ranges to meet clamp loads and/or joint durability requirements are not practical or possible within a general specification, Faster Engineering shall be consulted.
