PURPOSE.

The goal of this Anti-Harassment and Hate Incident (AHHI) policy is to create and maintain a workplace free of harassment and other harassing behavior by ensuring prevention, timely and independent investigation, corrective action, and accountability. This Instruction is complementary to Reference (a), the Civil Rights Manual, COMDTINST M5250.4 (series), but is distinct and does not take the place of procedures for filing an Equal Opportunity (EO) or an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint of discriminatory harassment. The EO and EEO processes are found in Chapter 5 of Reference (a).
