This standard establishes the requirements and specifications for the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84) Reference Frame (RF) alignment to the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (IERS) International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Office of Geomatics, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Division.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to outline the alignment of the WGS 84 RF, note the variables that impact the alignment process, and identify triggering mechanisms for additional work.
