Draft Standard for Pad-Mounted, Pole-Mounted, and Submersible Switchgear Enclosures and Associated Control Enclosures - Coastal and Non-Coastal Environmental Integrity
Organization: | IEEE |
Publication Date: | 1 April 2023 |
Status: | pending |
Page Count: | 24 |
scope:
This standard includes conformance tests and requirements for the enclosure integrity of pad-mounted, pole-mounted and submersible distribution switchgear rated above 1 kV, up to and including 38 kV, as well as the enclosure integrity of the associated controls. This standard applies to enclosure security and coating requirements, for coastal and non-coastal environments.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to describe the requirements for a comprehensive integrity system for enclosures of pad-mounted, pole-mounted, and submersible switchgear and the associated controls, in order to provide long service life with minimum maintenance. At the discretion of the user and/or manufacturer, coastal requirements may be used in non-coastal environments.
