This handbook is intended to provide actionable guidelines to entities looking to implement new CS repairs on aerospace components in compliance with the continued airworthiness requirements set forth in AR 70-62 and MIL-STD-3063 - Rotorcraft Structural Integrity Program, while maintaining the Corrosion Prevention and Control Plan (CPCP) and applicable Critical Safety Item (CSI) requirements. This handbook does not present or intend to present any materials or methods to bypass or shortcut these processes, but rather to identify what information, data, and analysis is necessary to qualify a CS repair, as well as identifying the special concerns that should be addressed. This handbook also highlights the testing and qualification requirements that are unique to CS to aid in the introduction of these repairs. Using the guidelines outlined here, application of Cold Spray to structural repair of Army aviation components may be practical.
