This Specification applies to Air Hoses used in association with pneumatic items of signalling equipment, including points and train stops.
Purpose
The purpose of this Specification is to define requirements for flexible air hose, to be laid directly onto railway track ballast and crossing under traction current and running rails. The hose shall therefore have a voltage rating of 1000V.
The hose shall be suitable for running in both open and tunnel areas.
