Purpose

This regulation sets policy and responsibilities for the proper management of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) individual protective equipment (IPE) under the Individual Chemical Equipment Management Pro-gram (ICEMP). The program provides Army units with contingency IPE, as outlined in the Army Materiel Com-mand's (AMC's) standardized individual Soldier's basic load (SISBL) memorandum. This regulation is not applicable to Army preposition stock and class VIII medical IPE.
