This Bulletin is a compendium of the properties required for design and for Fitness-For-Service assessments of pressure vessels, piping, and tankage. It is a more complete collection than the physical properties found in other sources such as ASME Section II, Part D and other design codes. The physical properties provided in this Bulletin include Young's Modulus, the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion, Thermal Conductivity and Thermal Diffusivity. These properties are provided as a function of temperature and are the properties required for heat transfer and thermo-mechanical stress analysis. In addition, Poisson's Ratio, Density and Melting Point are provided for each material. A key attribute of the compendium of physical properties is that master tables with a pointer system is used to provide a consistent and useful format for all materials. This system is proprietary to WRC, facilitates computer implementation, is easy to use and eliminates the duplication of data for materials with the same properties.
