Scope.

This specification covers the requirements for the preparation of the On-equipment Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) for USAF equipment. Use of Standardized System Subsystem Sub-Subsystem Numbering (SSSN) assignment in accordance with MIL-STD-1808 provides maximum cross referencing and reducing the research time required to locate needed data. Appendices A through G provide information for utilization of markup language tools for the digital preparation of OMMS to be delivered to the Government (see A.3.4).
