Within this module the stretcher bar assembly is considered as the stretcher bar (fixed, adjustable, tubular and lock) and all associated fastenings. This module contains common terms and definitions used in relation to stretcher bars and switches and crossings. These terms may be found elsewhere in the standard. This module applies to anybody involved in the installation, inspection and maintenance of stretcher bar assemblies.
