One of the most vital procedures available for security is the control of access into and around various parts of the Station. TRANSEC governs the main policy documents that direct access control standards into and around all MS:

• The NRSP.

• This deals with security requirements for operators of rail facilities in Great Britain.

• Rail Security Instruction 1/07.

• This provides additional information on the security requirements for operators of rail facilities.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is:

• In conjunction with procedure MS-39, to allow for access to areas of stations is controlled and assured.

• To detail the operating and management procedures for the issue and control of ID Cards and Access Control Passes.
