Performance testing of NIRS systems on animal slurry composition - Laboratory measurements

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 September 2022
Status: inactive
Page Count: 13
ICS Code (Fertilizers): 65.080
scope:

This document defines the method for testing the performance of systems that are to be used on board of tank trailers for the determination of the total nitrogen (N) and total phosphorus (P2O5) content in slurry. This method is used to test whether the systems meet the performance criteria for the legal determination of the N and P2O5 content in slurry in the Netherlands.

The N and P2O5 concentration ranges for which the system shall be evaluated are set by values derived from the current situation in the Netherlands. The supplier of the NIRS system can narrow the concentration ranges for which a given NIRS system shall be evaluated. This shall be specified in the report of the results.

This standard can only be applied to NIRS systems. In the future, it may be applied to other types of systems if studies have shown that the method is suitable for these types of systems.
