Clothing record books are still an excellent way to track and monitor clothing performance since they are often more accessible than files stored on computers. Good records should include important fabric information and observations on how the clothing performed, problems that were experienced, and other information. This technical information paper offers examples of information that should be included in a press fabric record book. Since each paper machine and press location is unique there is no single record format to fit all. Felt suppliers will likely use a more detailed worksheet than an individual machine.
