scope:
Purpose.
To issue Navy staff policy and responsibilities for the implementation of pandemic influenza (PI) planning, per references (a) through (e). Changes to this instruction include updates to force health protection personal hygiene and personnel protective equipment requirements. In addition, this Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) staff instruction supersedes an OPNAV command headquarters instruction. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
