Status: active
Page Count: 3
scope:

All staff used as Watchpersons under a TV will require a planned safe system of work and will act under the guidance of a lead Watchperson with TR42 competency.

Purpose

To advise Network Rail staff that:-

1. NR/L2/TRK/001/mod14 7.2 states that Staff undertaking Watchperson duties are required to hold TR42 competence.

2. If circumstances arise where staff with TR42 competence are not available and there is an intention to use staff `who have been assessed to have suitable track experience instead, a Temporary Variation (TV) against NR/L2/TRK/001/mod14 7.2 may be submitted and supported by a Regional or Route Engineer.
