Space systems — Methods to decide thermal vacuum test cycles of recurring production according to precipitation efficiency and reliability
| Organization: | ISO |
| Publication Date: | 31 July 2023 |
| Status: | pending |
| Page Count: | 20 |
| ICS Code (Space systems and operations): | 49.140 |
scope:
This document provides technical methods that are specified to calculate the precipitation efficiency and liability of a flight model by measuring the screen effectiveness of thermal cycles. The thermal environmental stress screening (TESS) in the document is to stress hardware by thermal cycle to precipitate latent defects relative to manufacturing, material, and workmanship to a certain percentage as the reliability, specified to the recurring production hardware. This document is applicable to the recurring production unit and other hardware assembly levels, as either an option to reduce or method to tailor the baseline of thermal vacuum and thermal cycle acceptance tests.
In case that the number of thermal cycles is agreed with the customer's specified standard or determined by other means, this document may be used as a supplement technical informative reference.
