The duties and responsibilities contained in this Guidance Note relate to those premises, which are essential for the operation of the railway, for example, Signal Boxes, Power Signal Boxes, IECCs, Electric Control Rooms, Relay Rooms and Traction Supply Buildings etc. The guidance also relates to the infrastructure between such premises insofar as risk from fire could affect normal operations.
Purpose
This Guidance Note provides guidance to all staff with responsibility for the management of fire safety within the Operational Estate. The document sets out guidance for implementation of the fire safety policy deliverables contained within the Company Fire Safety Handbook NR/CS/FIR/100
