The solvent is in the form of liquid or fluid at room temperature. The solvent is colorless. The clarity is clear and transparent The Chemical Abstracts Services (CAS) number is 64-17-5.

Applicability.

Ethanol is used as a manufacturing aid of the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA). It is used for dissolving and mixing components within dispersion solutions. These dispersion solutions are then formed into layers of the MEA utilizing coating and/or casting methods.
