This Guidance Note is applicable to all employees within Infrastructure Investment. It will be necessary for existing Infrastructure Investment staff to be briefed on the content of the Guidance Note. Additionally it will form part of the Infrastructure Investment HSEA local induction for new entrants and re-briefed if significant changes to the Network Rail H&SMS are implemented.

Purpose

This Guidance Note sets out the accountabilities and responsibilities of Infrastructure Investment staff in relation to the requirements specified within the Network Rail Health & Safety Management System (NR H&SMS).

The NR H&SMS describes the framework and arrangements in place to deliver the company's health and safety objectives under the Railways and other Guided Transport (Safety) Regulations 1996 (ROGS).
