This standard applies to all users, transporters, and manufacturers affected by label requirements and addresses classifications for gas mixtures that contain a toxic component(s). This standard categorizes gas mixtures by establishing a measurement criterion based on LC50 RAT values. The resultant criterion is the basis for a method to calculate gas mixture toxicity.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to establish a means to classify toxic gas mixtures.
