These test methods cover the chemical analysis of extractables from synthetic rubbers and are intended for general use on solid uncompounded styrene-butadiene copolymers commonly referred to as SBR. Analysis of other synthetic rubbers is also possible with some of these test methods.

NOTE 1-The nomenclature used in these test methods is in accordance with Practice D1418.
