Purpose:
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5106.01, this issuance establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for processing firearms and ballistic evidence data associated with DoD criminal investigations into the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) pursuant to Executive Order 14092 and in accordance with the December 12, 2022 Office of the Deputy Attorney General Memorandum.
