This document provides the Principal Contractor with guidance to the key aspects which should be taken into consideration. References are made to other documentation which specifies the requirements for safety and construction.

Purpose

This document provides guidance to the Principal Contractor for the provisioning of new lineside cable routes buried in the cess as well as cable routes through station platforms.

It is envisaged that cable routes buried in the cess will only be considered in areas with high risk of vandalism or cable theft resulting in significant business risk.
