scope:

Purpose

a. Establishes policy and assigns responsibility in accordance with references (a) through (j) for qualification and management of the Department of the Navy (DON) Cyberspace Workforce (CWF), formerly DON Cyberspace Information Technology and Cybersecurity Workforce (Cyber IT/CSWF), and hereafter referred to as the DON CWF. For the purposes of this instruction and program, the terms "cyberspace" and "cyber" are used interchangeably. This instruction is a complete revision and must be reviewed in its entirety. See enclosure (1) for a listing of references.

b. Authorizes the publication of a Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Manual (reference (i)) and support to the United States (U.S.) Navy and U.S. Marine Corps directives.

c. Authorizes establishment of the Navy and Marine Corps Cyberspace Workforce Management, Oversight, and Compliance Council (CWF MOCC).

d. Establishes the DON CWF in alignment with guidance provided in reference (a).
