scope:
PURPOSE.
This Instruction provides Coast Guard policy specifically for the internal lending of Coast Guard art and artifacts to Coast Guard Flag Officers and Senior Executive Service members. Art and artifacts not currently on display at museums or other public facilities may be placed in Flag suites or in Representational Facilities where it can be used to to help educate visitors and guests and facilitate conversation about the Coast Guard and its many missions and objectives. Reference (a) provides policy on lending art and artifacts to non-USCG institutions.
