This document applies to electrical and mechanical clearances for 25 kV overhead electrified railways.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide a generic safety case for the clearances used on Network Rail infrastructure.
It should be noted that this document does not remove the need for a site-specific risk assessment. However this module can be used as the basis on which to inspect any site differences in terms of hazards and whether the determined safety requirements can be met.
