APPROVED METHOD: OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENTS OF LED SOURCES

active, Most Current
Organization: IES
Publication Date: 25 April 2023
Status: active
Page Count: 46
scope:

This Approved Method describes the procedures for optical and electrical measurements of LED sources. The methods in this document cover white and single-color LED sources and may also be applied to laser diode sources; however, laser diodes may have special drive circuitry requirements, which should be obtained from the manufacturer.

This document does not cover ultraviolet LED sources (covered in in ANSI/IES LM-92-22), alternating-current (AC) LED sources (covered ANSI/IES LM-88-18(R23)), or LED lighting products (covered in ANSI/IES LM-79-19). In addition, it does not cover relative measurement methods.
