GENERAL
This Specification defines the minimum requirements for the treatment of Piston type aero-engines, to ensure their protection against corrosion during storage and transit, under all climatic condition.
The requirement of this specification shall apply in conjunction with any additional requirements listed in the relevant Air Publication for specific types of engine. Where doubt exists as to the complete procedure for a specific type of engine, advice shall be sought from the RTO(E) of the parent organisation responsible for the design of the engine.
