SCOPE AND PURPOSE

This Standard provides a glossary of terms commonly used in the industries that manufacture or use mechanically and hydraulically powered presses.

NOTE: Often two or more terms are used for the same definition. In this Standard, only the preferred term is defined. Synonymous terms are listed, with a reference to the preferred term instead of repetition of its definition.
